Well then people *sighs*. Basically, this Tumblr is essentially a brother blog to my counterpart SILVERPLAQUEVII (Follow my counterpart as well).

As of now, this Tumblr is officially part of TTCOrionVII8100's Transit Archives.

It is exclusively about public transportation and shit like that. So blah blah blah, enjoy :)

After months of break, this baby the NFI XN60 is a compressed natural gas-powered transit bus from New Flyer’s Xcelsior line and the first CNG Xcelsior built. Until then NABI had the 60-BRT with a CNG option but in the past Neoplan USA had the AN460 as an option. The first XN60 is set to debut with the Omnitrans’ BRT Service around 2013.

So many Orion VII NG HEVs at Finch Station, packing a bunch on route 36 Finch West bus.
Not even a single dead battery, even if it wasn’t for those crap acids causing problems.

New TTC Trains

onabus:

My first day back in Toronto and I finally get to ride the new Trains!

“Funded” and “City of Toronto” in the same sentence. Oxymoron?

They are very spacious and clean. They definitely do not have that “Tuberculous Trap” feeling those other dirty subway cars have.

A glare of TTC GMDD T6H-5307N High-floor bus #2325 doing its last stand at Downsview Station on route 196B York University Rocket.
The York University Rocket bus was prune to the Fishbowls for years since its inception. It served the riders very well even the Busway opened, the speed of the 6V71N engine cranked up the power on the road. I been riding those ever since I came to Canada in 1998. As a transportation fan, I grew up wioth these buses.
Its reign eventually ended when it turned low-floor in November 2010 with this bus retired in July of that year. All the Fishbowls that served Wilson Division is now at Mount Dennis (the last fishbowls left Malvern in mid-2009) and since been used on the prune 52 Lawrence West. The one and only Fishbowl buses may live on beyond 2012 as the 2 can be used historically for charters and so on. (not even York Region did keep #2006 as a bus and went to scrap last year. Lame.)
Anyway 196, wish of luck using low floor Orion VIIs and an occasional ex-CNG Orion V.

A miserable example of TTC 2005 Orion 07.501 VII #7708 on the dead winter shot of the now-defunct 12B Kingston Rd. branch. This is one of 482 VIIs built, purchased, and delivered in 2002-2005, came pre-equipped with UWE, and replaced older buses (notably GM New Looks). The VIIs became the TTC modern-day represented buses. They are allocated and assigned to New Eglinton and Birchmount Garages in Scarborough.
In serious cases, any of New Eglinton S50EGR VIIs breakdown everyday and 80% of Birchmount’s have the same issues in the winter. The cause is from air / coolant leaks causing the buses to tow back to the garage throughout their careers. As some fans say, they are the most unreliable buses in Toronto’s fleet. Several Scarborough routes have complained due to the fact they die and “abused” as some OG / NG Hybrids do breakdown. Choices are repairs, retirement, or repowered. Most preferred option 2 if TTC needs to purchase replacement buses, it’ll likely happen or not.
